Chance is personal gun dog of David Westphal. He lives with David and Lori and their 2 girls.

“Chance" is a natural in the field, with an exceptional nose, he is steady to wing and shot, soft mouthed, retrieves naturally to hand, and readily handles water retrieves. The pictures of him in the field are at almost 14 years of age, still hunting, and still finding birds. Under his point, more than several hundred birds of varied species from quail, grouse, pheasant and chukar have been harvested. He started hunting in his first year and I was guiding over him by his second hunting season, he readily backed when approaching another dog on point. He has been great with our kids, having watched over them since both were infants.

He is also very good around other dogs and puppies, included picture is of him and Trouble when Trouble was new to the house. He has a beautiful coat even now, and remains in exceptional physical shape heading into his 15th year. He won in the Veterans class last year at Monroe (2009) . He has a very "laid" back style, and is easy going - just likes to be with his family. and eating ice cubes and tissues. He is an impeccable house dog and requires minimal discipline, just daily exercise and love.
